O primeiro empreendimento LEED Platinum do sul do Brasil está sendo construído em Curitiba. Trata-se do Eurobusiness, localizado no Ecoville. A certificação LEED Platinum é o nível mais alto de certificação concedida pela USGBC, a maior autoridade da área de edificações sustentáveis.
O edifício conta com uma fachada de alto desempenho, garantindo melhor conforto térmico, reduzindo o consumo de energia elétrica do sistema de ar condicionado. Isto, associado à iluminação com luminárias LED, representa uma economia de 50% de energia.
O consumo de água também é 47% menor, graças ao sistema de captação de chuva e de tratamento de águas cinzas para uso em descargas, limpeza externa e irrigação. Ainda, a irrigação não fará grande uso da água devido às plantas de paisagismo serem nativas, estando adaptadas à pluviometria de Curitiba.
Para a obtenção da certificação LEED Platinum, a Eurobusiness optou por incorporar um sistema fotovoltaico para a obtenção de pontos necessários. O sistema a ser instalado é formado por 32 módulos de 255 Wp, totalizando 8,16 kWp capazes de gerar 9.938 kWh por ano.
O projeto está em execução pela Construtora Engemática e a certificação está sendo realizada pela Petinelli. A EGNEX se orgulha em fazer parte deste projeto, ficando responsável pelo dimensionamento, projeto e instalação do sistema fotovoltaico.
